A light, creamy, and lightly sweetened dip made with cream cheese, powdered sugar, heavy whipping cream, and vanilla extract, perfect for pairing with fresh fruit or crunchy snacks.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8-ounce) block full-fat cream cheese, softened fully to room temperature
  • 2/3 cup powdered sugar (see notes for substitutions)
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream, very cold but not frozen
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Let the cream cheese sit at room temperature for 30–60 minutes until fully softened.
  2. Place the softened cream cheese in a large bowl and beat with a hand mixer on high for 30–60 seconds until smooth and fluffy; continue whipping to remove lumps if necessary.
  3. Combine powdered sugar, very cold heavy whipping cream, and vanilla extract in a medium bowl.
  4. Using the whisk attachment, mix on low for 30 seconds to dissolve the sugar, then increase to medium-high and whip for 4–6 minutes until stiff peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the whipped cream into the whipped cream cheese using a silicone spatula with slow sweeping motions until just combined with no large streaks, avoiding overmixing.
  6. Taste and adjust sweetness or flavor as desired by adding more powdered sugar, almond extract, or lemon zest.
  7. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and serve.

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps; press your finger into the block to check – it should give easily without resistance., Avoid granulated sweeteners as they do not dissolve properly; use powdered sugar or powdered sugar alternatives like Swerve or monk fruit powder., If dip is too sweet, balance with more cream cheese or unsweetened whipped cream., Fold whipped cream carefully to avoid deflating the dip, preserving a light and fluffy texture., Make ahead by preparing up to 24 hours in advance and keep refrigerated., Do not freeze the dip as freezing affects texture negatively, making it grainy and watery when thawed., For dairy-free option, use dairy-free cream cheese and substitute heavy cream with full-fat canned coconut cream., Possible flavor variations: almond extract, cinnamon, lemon zest, crushed pineapple, shredded coconut, cocoa powder, Nutella, or a splash of Baileys, amaretto, or Grand Marnier.
