Delicious bite-sized appetizers made with creamy brie cheese, savory salami, sweet apricot or fig jam, and flaky puff pastry. Perfect for parties and holiday gatherings.

  • 8.5 ounces Brie cheese
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry
  • 9 slices Salami
  • 1 teaspoon apricot or fig jam per bite
  • Fresh thyme (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Thaw frozen puff pastry per package directions about 20 minutes.
  3. Freeze brie for about 20 minutes to firm, then slice into 18 small pieces or 9 larger pieces if preferred.
  4. Lightly grease a muffin tin or use a nonstick pan.
  5. Cut thawed puff pastry into 9 equal squares by first cutting along folded lines into 3 rectangles, then cutting each rectangle into 3 squares.
  6. Press each pastry square gently into a muffin tin cup to form pastry cups.
  7. Layer a slice of salami in each pastry cup, folding or tucking as needed.
  8. Add two pieces of brie to each cup.
  9. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of jam into each cup.
  10. Top each with a sprig of fresh thyme.
  11. Bake at 375°F for about 20 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden and puffed.
  12. Allow the bites to cool slightly in the tin so the cheese sets before removing.
